There’s a new all-inclusive luxury option in Cancun’s Hotel Zone and, naturally, I had to check it out. Dubbed ‘The Hotelista,’ I am a game for new hotels, luxury amenities, white sand beaches and incredible vistas; Krystal Grand Punta Cancun, with its recently debuted VIP Altitude Tower, checked off every detail. The only problem? I only had 24 hours to take it all in, cue in sad violins.
After a mandatory selfie with ‘The Dome’ (it’s a thing on Instagram) I checked into Krystal Grand Punta Cancun, tucked into the edge of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. I was then transported into the Altitude Tower, the hotel’s new VIP experience featuring endless ocean views; stylish and spacious rooms; large glass bathrooms with rain showers; L’ Occitane amenities (yes, please!); a daily restocked mini-bar; daily continental breakfast; afternoon cocktails and appetizers; incredible balconies; and 24-hour room service. Yes, my Altitude level suite was larger than my studio back home.
Already feeling like I was in paradise, I decided to wander around the pool area which reminded me of the first rule of Real Estate: location, location, location! At every single turn, the views of Krystal Grand are post-card perfect. The hotel also offers private cabanas that can be reserved as well as Bali beds, this called for a tanning session before dinner time and a refreshing fruity drink from The Beach Bar Grill.
